Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Risk, Compliance & Sustainable Investment Training

Course Overview

As the global business environment evolves, organizations are under growing pressure to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable practices, ethical governance, and effective risk and compliance management. The integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles with Risk and Compliance (RC) frameworks is now essential for long-term organizational resilience and reputation. This comprehensive training by Africa Center for Climate and Health Capacity Development explores the interconnected nature of ESG and RC, offering professionals practical tools and strategic insights to embed these principles into their operations and decision-making processes. Participants will develop the skills to identify ESG risks, address regulatory requirements, and drive impactful, sustainable change across their organizations.

Regional commercial banks, institutional investors, telecommunications giants, and extractives face heightened oversight from central banks, stock exchanges, and development finance institutions (DFIs). Compliance with emergent sustainability disclosure standards (such as IFRS S1 and S2) is now an indispensable condition for securing debt capital and regulatory licensing.

This ESG Training course builds the capacity of policy makers, regulators, and implementors to foster policy coherence by applying knowledge and best practices to align ESG-RC with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national priorities.
