Mr. Bob Natif is a prominent Ugandan climate change expert, development strategist, and public official. He currently serves as the Acting Commissioner for  Department of Climate Change and Carbon Trade under  Ministry of Water and Environment of Uganda.

He is also widely recognized as the national focal point and official ambassador for the UN CC:Learn (The One UN Climate Change Learning Partnership) program in Uganda He coordinates Uganda’s national climate responses, building framework strategies to balance environmental mitigation and climate adaptation across the country.

He is actively involved in national compliance and international negotiations, helping support the implementation of Article 6 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).The major part of his current mandate involves integrating agroecology into Uganda’s National Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), which aim to mobilize approximately $30 billion for domestic climate action.
